Debra Kang Dean


Debra Kang Dean is the author of News of Home, which co-won the Sheila Margaret Motton Award, sponsored by the New England Poetry Club; and Back to Back, which won the 1997 Harperprints Poetry Chapbook Competition. Her poems have appeared in a number of anthologies, including The Best American Poetry, The New American Poets: A Bread Loaf Anthology, and Yobo: Korean American Writing in Hawai'i. BOA released Precipitates in November 2003.

She is a contributing editor for Tar River Poetry, teaches poetry online at the UCLA Extension Writers' Program, and in the Spalding University brief-residency Master of Fine Arts in Writing program.

She lives in West Peterborough, New Hampshire.
