Alice Derry lives and works on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. Tremolo, her fourth volume of poetry, appeared from Red Hen Press in 2012. Strangers to Their Courage (Louisiana State University Press, 2001) was a finalist for the Washington State Book Award. Derry’s first manuscript, Stages of Twilight (Far Corner Books, 1986), was chosen by Raymond Carver for publication. In May of 2013, she delivered the keynote address for his 75th Birthday Celebration in Port Angeles.
