Alice Hoffman

Alice Hoffman is the author of more than twenty-five works of fiction, including Practical Magic (Putnam) and Turtle Moon (Putnam), and most recently The Red Garden (Crown), a book of connected short stories set in the Berkshires. In September 2011, Scribner published The Dovekeepers, a novel about ancient Israel. She is currently a visiting scholar at The Women’s Research Center at Brandeis University.
