Becky Hagenston is the author of three short story collections: Scavengers: Stories (University of Alaska Press, 2016), Strange Weather (Press 53, 2010), and A Gram of Mars: Stories (Sarabande Books 1998). She has won the Permafrost Prize, the Spokane Prize, and the Mary McCarthy Prize, and her stories have been chosen for a Pushcart Prize and twice for an O. Henry Award. She teaches creative writing at Mississippi State University.
