Bill Knott's first book, The Naomi Poems, Book One: Corpse and Beans was published in 1968 under the pseudonym Saint Geraud (1940-1966). He taught at Emerson College for twenty-five years and published eleven full-length books of poems. The poems in this issue are from I Am Flying Into Myself: Selected Poems, 1960-2014, edited by Thomas Lux. Bill Knott died in 2014 in Bay City, Mich.
