A graduate of Tufts University and the University of Michigan, Cid Corman ran a weekly radio show about poetry called This Is Poetry, from WMEX Boston. Born in 1924, Corman had published 500 poems in over 100 journals by 1954 (30 years of age). He founded Origin magazine, taught and opened a coffee shop in Kyoto, Japan, and published volumes of thousands of his poems starting in the 1990s.
