David Gullette

David Gullette teaches writing and literature at Simmons College, where he is also the director of a study abroad and community service project that takes students to Nicaragua.  He has written two books about the confluence of poetry and revolution in Nicaragua: Nicaraguan Peasant Poetry from Solentiname and ¡GASPAR!: A Spanish Poet/Priest in the Nicaraguan Revolution.  Gullette received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina and is Literary Director of the Poets' Theatre.
