David Reid is a contributor to Vanity Fair, University Publishing (of which he is executive editor), and other magazines. With Leonard Michaels, he co-edited Under Eastern Eyes, an anthology of writing about civilization on the West Coast since 1835 (Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1987).
