Elizabeth Tornes is a poet who lives on the Lac du Flambeau Chippewa reservation in Northern Wisconsin. Her poems have appeared widely in literary journals, including previously in Ploughshares. Recently she published a collection of oral histories entitled Memories of Lac du Flambeau Elders (Wisconsin).
