Ferenc Barnás is one of Hungary’s most distinguished writers. He is the author of five novels. The Ninth (Northwestern University Press, 2009) was long-listed for the Best Translated Book Award (USA) and the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. His fourth novel, Another Death won Book of the Year in Hungary, the Aegon Award. He has received three of Hungary’s highest literary honors. His works have been translated into Czech, French, German, Serbian, and Indonesian. The novel Another Death is to be published by Seagull Books. He currently lives in Jakarta, Indonesia.
