Hester Kaplan's short fiction has appeared in numerous publications, including Ploughshares, Story, Glimmer Train, and Agni, and has twice been included in The Best American Short Stories. Her collection, The End of Marriage, won the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction. She is the author of Kinship Theory, a novel.
