James Lilliefors is a longtime journalist and former newspaper editor. He has been a frequent contributor to The Washington Post and other publications, and is the author of the book Highway 50. He was educated at the University of Iowa and the University of Virginia, and he currently lives in Naples, Florida, where he is concentrating on fiction writing. "Fugitives" is adapted from a novel in progress.
