Jan Richman

Jan Richman's first book, Because the Brain Can Be Talked into Anything, won the 1994 Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets, judged by Robert Pinsky, and was published last spring by Louisiana State University Press. A former NEA fellow, she has published her poetry in many magazines, including The Nation, Ploughshares, The Bloomsbury Review, and Grand Street.
