John McCluskey, Jr., teaches fiction writing and contemporary African American literature at Indiana University. He is the author of two novels:Look What They Done to My Song (1974) and Mr. America's Last Season Blues (1983). With Charles Johnson, he co-edited Black Men Speaking, a reader on African American men that will appear this spring.
