Karen Shepard is a Chinese-American born and raised in New York City. She is the author of four novels, An Empire of Women (Putnam, 2000), The Bad Boy’s Wife (St. Martin’s Press, 2004), Don’t I Know You? (Morrow, 2006), and The Celestials (Tin House, 2013), and one story collection, Kiss Me Someone (Tin House, 2017). She teaches at Williams College and is delighted to have her story alongside her daughter’s debut publication.
