Kathryn Van Spanckeren was raised in rural California and Arizona. She has published poetry and articles on contemporary multicultural writing in literary journals and co-edited two books, on Margaret Atwood and John Gardner, published by Southern Illinois University Press. She teaches at the University of Tampa and is Poetry Editor of The Tampa Review.
