Kim Edwards is the author of the story collection The Secrets of a Fire King, an alternate for the PEN/Hemingway Award. Her stories have been performed at Symphony Space and have won many honors, including the Nelson Algren Award, the National Magazine Award for excellence in fiction, and inclusion in The Best American Short Stories and The Pushcart Prize anthologies. She is the recipient of a 2002 Whiting Writer's Award.
