Martha Zweig received a 1999 Whiting Writer's Award. She is the author of a collection, Vinegar Bone (Wesleyan, 1999), and a chapbook, Powers, from the Vermont Council on the Arts. Her poems have appeared in Northwest Review, Manoa, Boston Review, The Gettysburg Review, The Progressive, and elsewhere. Her next collection, working title What Kind, is forthcoming from Wesleyan.
