Mary McGarry Morris is the author of the novels Vanished and A Dangerous Woman, both of which were published by Viking. Vanished was nominated for the National Book Award in 1988 and for the PEN/Faulkner Award in 1989. A Dangerous Woman was chosen by Time magazine as "one of the best five novels published in 1991," and was named Novel of the Year by the Associated Press Editors.
