Maxine Scates is the author of three books of poems, Undone (New Issues,forthcoming 2011) Black Loam (Cherry Grove) and Toluca Street (Pitt); she is also editor, with David Trinidad, of Holding Our Own: The Selected Poems of Ann Stanford (Copper Canyon). She lives in Eugene, Oregon. One of her poems, "Not There" appears in Pushcart Prize XXXIV: Best of the Small Presses.
