Maxine Swann's stories have received an O. Henry Award, a Pushcart Prize, and been included in The Best American Short Stories. Her first novel, Serious Girls, was published in 2003. Her second novel, Flower Children, will appear this May. She has lived in Paris and Pakistan and currently lives in Buenos Aires.
