Melissa Pritchard is the recipient of the Flannery O’Connor and Carl Sandburg Awards, the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize, a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers Award, and several Pushcart Prizes and O. Henry Awards. Her work has appeared in The Paris Review, A Public Space, Ecotone, Conjunctions, Agni, and O, The Oprah Magazine, among other places. Author of ten books, she is the 2016 Marguerite and Lamar Smith Fellow at the Carson McCullers Center for Writers and Musicians in Columbus, Georgia.
