Nickolas Butler was born in Allentown, PA and raised in Eau Claire, WI. He currently divides his time between Minnesota and Iowa City, IA, where he is a student at the Iowa Writer’s Workshop. A recipient of the 2010 Roark Prize in Poetry and a winner of the 2007 Davis Demitasse Poetry Contest, his poems have appeared in numerous magazines, journals, and newspapers, and he was recently nominated for a Pushcart. This is his first published piece of fiction.
