Rita Maria Martinez lives in Miami and is a graduate of Florida International University's M.F.A. Creative Writing program. Her poems have appeared in Vox, Gulf Stream Magazine, and Diagram. She is currently working on an extended lyrical narrative entitled Virgen de Recuerdos.
