Robert Bensen

Robert Bensen is the author of Scriptures of Venus (Swamp Press, 2000) and several chapbooks. His poems have appeared in The Paris Review, Partisan Review, Tamaqua, Akwe:kon Journal, The Caribbean Writer, Poetry Wales, Native Realities, Antioch Review, as well as Ploughshares and numerous other journals. His anthology, Children of the Dragonfly: Native American Voices on Child Custody and Education was published by the University of Arizona Press in 2001. He is co-literary editor (with Maurice Kenny) of Iroquois Voices, Iroquois Visions. He received a poetry fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1996, and won of the Robert Penn Warren Award for poetry in 1993. He is Prof. of English and Director of Writing at Hartwick College, Oneonta, New York.
