Ruth Ellen Kocher's poetry has recently appeared or is forthcoming in Sojourner, The Missouri Review, African-American Review, and The Gettysburg Review. She received her M.F.A. degree from Arizona State University and lives in Tempe, Arizona, where she is a doctoral student in American literature.
