Seamus Heaney

Seamus Heaney, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995, published numerous volumes of poetry, criticism, and translation. Heaney had been a resident of Dublin, but from 1981 he spent part of each year teaching at Harvard University, where in 1984 he was elected the Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory.
