Sharon Olds
Sharon Olds's books are Satan Says; The Dead and the Living; The Gold Cell; The Father; The Wellspring; Blood, Tin, Straw; The Unswept Room; and Strike Sparks: Selected Poems, 1980-2002. She was New York State Poet Laureate from 1998-2000. She lives in New Hampshire and New York City. She teaches in the graduate program in creative writing at New York University, where she has been involved in outreach writing workshops—one at Goldwater Hospital (twenty-seven years) and one for veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan (three years). Her most recent book, Stag’s Leap (Knopf, 2012), has been shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize.
