Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen is the author of over ten volumes of poetry as well as translations, short stories, children's books, and a study of Greek sculpture. These poems are selected from her collection, entitled Coral. She is the recipient of the Grande Premio da Literature Portuguesa.
