Soraya Palmer hails from Brooklyn, NYC with roots in Trinidad and Jamaica. She recently completed her M.F.A. in fiction from Virginia Tech where she taught writing and coordinated a mentoring program for girls. Her prose has been published in Callaloo, Black Warrior Review, and Calyx and has work forthcoming in Ninth Letter.
