Susan Vreeland's novels include Girl in Hyacinth Blue, a finalist for the Book Sense Book of the Year Award for 1999, and The Passion of Artemisia, both New York Times bestsellers. The Forest Lover, another art-related novel, is due out in January 2004, and a story collection, Life Studies, which includes "A Flower for Ginette," will be published in January 2005, both from Viking.
