Suzanne Cleary’s Beauty Mark was published in 2013 as winner of the John Ciardi Prize for Poetry by BkMk Press (University of Missouri-Kansas City). Beauty Mark also won the Eugene Paul Nassar Prize and received a 2014 Paterson Award for Literary Excellence. Her previous books are Trick Pear and Keeping Time (both from Carnegie Mellon). Recipient of a Pushcart Prize, and residencies at Yaddo and the MacDowell Colony, her poems appear in journals including The Atlantic, Georgia Review, and Poetry London, and in anthologies including Best American Poetry. Professor of English at SUNY Rockland, she also teaches as core faculty in the low-residency MFA in Creative Writing Program of Converse College.
