Valerie Miner is the award-winning author of fourteen books. Her work has appeared in The Georgia Review, TriQuarterly, Salmagundi, New Letters, The Gettysburg Review, and other publications, including over sixty anthologies. It has been dramatized on BBC Radio 4 and translated into eight languages. She has won awards from The Rockefeller Foundation, Fondazione Bogliasco, Fundación Valparaiso, The McKnight Foundation, the NEA, and The Jerome Foundation, and has been awarded Fulbright Fellowships to Tunisia, India, and Indonesia. Winner of a Distinguished Teaching Award, she is a professor and artist-in-residence at Stanford University.
