Viet Thanh Nguyen

Viet Thanh Nguyen’s novel The Sympathizer (Grove Press, 2015) won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the Edgar Award for Best First Novel, the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, and the First Novel Prize from the Center for Fiction. His other books are Nothing Ever Dies: Vietnam and the Memory of War (Harvard University Press, 2016) and Race and Resistance: Literature and Politics in Asian America (Oxford University Press, 2002). He is an associate professor of English and American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California.
