C. L. Rawlins has received a Stegner Fellowship and a Blanchan Memorial Award, as well as the Forest Service Primitive Skills Award for wilderness training. A recent prose book, Sky's Witness: A Year in the Wind River Range (Henry Holt, 1993), will be followed by In Gravity National Park, his second book of poems.
