Stephen Ajay was educated at the University of Michigan, and is Professor of English at the California College of Arts and Craft. His books of poetry include Abracadabra and The Whales Are Burning, both published by New Rivers Press. His poems have appeared in The Wisconsin Review, New York Quarterly, Poetry Now, Confrontation, and elsewhere. He has spent two of the past three years studying Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal and India.
