Sandra Alcosser’s A Fish to Feed All Hunger (University of Virginia Press, 1986) and Except by Nature (Graywolf Press, 1998) received highest honors from the National Poetry Series, the Academy of American Poets, and the Association of Writers & Writing Programs’ Award Series. She’s received three National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, has served as Montana’s first poet laureate, directs San Diego State University’s MFA each fall, and is the editor of Poetry International. Her poems have appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, the Paris Review, Poetry, and the Pushcart Prize anthology.
