ANNE WINTERS is the translator of Salamander: Selected Poems of Robert Marteau (Princeton). She has completed an unpublished novel, An Iron Year, excerpted here. She is now working on a group of poems about New York City, for which she has recently received a grant from the Ingram Merrill Foundation.
