Daisy Zamora, the author of three widely acclaimed books of poetry in Spanish, lives in Managua, Nicaragua. Two collections of her work have been published in translation in the United States: Clean Slate (Curbstone) and Riverbed of Memory (City Lights). She was featured in the recent Bill Moyers PBS series The Language of Life and is editor of Pensamiento Proprio, a journal dedicated to the investigation and study of economic and sociological conditions in Central America and the Caribbean.
