Andrew Zawacki is the author of two poetry volumes, Anabranch (Wesleyan, 2004) and By Reason of Breakings (Georgia, 2002), as well as a chapbook, Masquerade (Vagabond, 2001), which received the Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award from the PSA. He is coeditor of Verse and editor of Afterwards: Slovenian Writing 1945-1995 (White Pine, 1999). His criticism has recently appeared in Boston Review, New German Critique, Talisman, and elsewhere, and he is cotrannslating Ales Debeljak's Arrow's Shadow. Zawacki is a doctoral candidate in the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago.
