Linda Bamber is a Professor of English at Tufts University. Her recent short fiction collection, Taking What I Like (Godine, 2013) re-imagines some classic texts, including Jane Eyre, Othello, Hamlet, and other Shakespeare plays. She is the author of a poetry collection, Metropolitan Tang (Godine, 2008) and a critical book on Shakespeare, Comic Women, Tragic Men: Gender and Genre in Shakespeare (Stanford University Press, 1982). Her poems, stories, and essays have appeared in such places as The New York Times Book Review, The Harvard Review, The Kenyon Review, Tikkun, The Nation, and Raritan.
