Mark Winegardner’s books include the novels Crooked River Burning (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2001), The Veracruz Blues (Viking Books, 1996), The Godfather Returns (Random House, 2004), and The Godfather’s Revenge (Putnam Books, 2006) as well as the story collection That’s True of Everybody (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2004). He’s now working on a novel called Florabama Normal. Winegardner’s work has also appeared in ESPN the Magazine, Esquire, GQ, The New York Times Magazine, Playboy, Five Points, TriQuarterly and many others. He is the Burroway Chair of English & Distinguished Research Professor at Florida State University.
