A Yale graduate, David Leavitt teaches graduate courses at The University of Florida and is the founder and editor of the literary magazine Subtropics. Leavitt is the author of eight novels, five story collections, and four non-fiction works, among others. He lives in Gainesville, FL with his partner, Mark Mitchell.
