Anne Pierson Wiese's first collection, Floating City (Louisiana, 2007) received the Academy of American Poets 2006 Walt Whitman Award. She received a 2005 Fellowship in Poetry from the New York Foundation for the Arts, and was a winner of the 2004 "Discovery"/The Nation Prize. Her poems have appeared in Ploughshares, The New England Review, The Hudson Review, Raritan, The Southern Review, The Antioch Review, and The Virginia Quarterly Review, among other publications.
