David Stuart MacLean lives in Chicago. He earned his PhD in Literature & Creative Writing from the University of Houston and his MFA from New Mexico State University. He was named 2011s best Emerging Non-Fiction Writer by the PEN/American Foundation. His work has appeared in Quarterly West, Gulf Coast, Guernica, and the radio program This American Life. His memoir The Answer to the Riddle is Me will be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2013.
