Stephen Dau is the author of In a Foreign Country (forthcoming) and The Book of Jonas (Blue Rider Press, 2012), which was a semifinalist for the Cabell First Novelist Award and was named one of the best books of the year by Kirkus Reviews and Booklist. He worked in postwar reconstruction and international philanthropy before receiving an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars. His work has been featured on NPR and appeared in McSweeney’s, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and MSNBC. He lives in Belgium.
