Carole Burns’ first book of stories, The Missing Woman, is being published by the UK-based Parthian Books in April 2015. She is editor of Off the Page: Writers Talk About Beginnings, Endings, and Everything in Between (W. W. Norton, 2007), based on interviews with writers including Colm Tóibín, Margot Livesey, Hannah Tinti, and Stuart Dybek. A reviewer for The Washington Post, she is head of creative writing at the University of Southampton in England. She’s finishing her first novel.
