Patricia Henley's first collection of short stories, Friday Night at Silver Star (Graywolf, 1986), won the Montana First Book Award. Her work has appeared most recently in Cutbank, The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, The Atlantic, and Best American Short Stories 1990. She teaches in the Creative Writing Program at Purdue University.
