Kristen Iskandrian’s debut novel, Motherest, is forthcoming from Twelve in August 2017. Her work has appeared in Tin House, Crazyhorse, Zyzzyva, EPOCH, and Joyland, among others. Her story “The Inheritors” (Tin House, 2012) received an O. Henry Prize and was a juror’s pick in 2014. She lives in Birmingham, Ala.
