Reprint Requests

Copyright reverts to the author upon publication in Ploughshares. To obtain reprint permission, email us at pshares@emerson.edu or mail us at Ploughshares, Emerson College, 120 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02116. We will forward your request to the author to respond.

The only stipulations from Ploughshares are that in any reprint, all material first published in Ploughshares should be credited by individual title; and that, with the author's consent, Ploughshares reserves the non-exclusive right to reprint, without any further compensation, the work in any anthology consisting of 75% or more of material first published in Ploughshares.

Please be aware that we often review books by Ploughshares authors; a review copy of any such book would be greatly appreciated. See our Book Review Policy. Also, our annual Zacharis Award goes to a distinguished first book by a Ploughshares author. The award alternates between honoring books of poetry and fiction.

Photocopy Requests (Course Adoption)

PERMISSIONS FEE

Use of the material must be limited to educational purposes, and reproduction must be for one time only. The permissions fee for reproduction of excerpts from Ploughshares is 25¢ per journal page per copy made, with the following discounts:
100-150 total copies 20% discount
151+ total copies 30% discount

EXAMINATION COPY / MASTER

An examination copy or a master for photocopying may be obtained at no charge.

ADDITIONAL COPIES

No more than the copies ordered may be reprinted. Any further use will require permission from Ploughshares

NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS POLICY

No returns or refunds will be accepted. Payment is due 30 days from receipt of invoice.
